Authorisation for Topocrom

Positive decision of the European Commission (EC) for a period of 12 years under the EC Regulation Nr. 1907 / 2006

After examining our application, the European Commission has approved the authorisation of TOPOCROM® technology for a period of 12 years on July 17th, 2018.

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has classified chromium trioxide (CrVI) as a substance of high concern; since September 2017 CrVI may only be used after prior EC-Authorisation. Galvanic processes for TOPOCROM® and hard chrome coatings require CrVI.

All coated work pieces we deliver to our customers are CrVI-free.
